in their Beethoven quartet...

Cycle, tempi were a problem-a small one- in opus 18, #s 4 and 5, which I found a bit too heavy.

Great music given it's due.

In the late quartets Beethoven continued to evolve many of his compositional techniques: he manages to add to the harmonic rules of before and does new things in the way of tonality and form.
