I bought these for my 9 year old daughter. She loves them and so do I. I’m awaiting the next book alluded to in this one.
They are an easy ya read with all the suspense of Nancy drew, the tidy endings of solved mysteries and a thread of eternal hope.
There are times you are yelling at Finley to go talk to officer David.

This third book in the Finley Pike series does not disappoint!

The story telling and character development flows super smooth, and once you get into the mystery, it's hard to stop reading! There's lots of twists and unexpected outcomes that keep you turning the page to see where it all leads.

You can tell the author works in the world of tweens and teenagers. She handles the feelings, conversations, and thoughts of these characters in a relatable way that gives insight to the way they would process life's situations. Because of this, this book also helps the readers think beyond the story and become introspective in their own life. I especially like the addition of the "Questions to think About."

Parents, depending on the age and sensitivity of your tween, know that is a kid-napping and a few moments of intensity due to the mystery. It is handled well and with resolve, but something to be aware of as your child engages with the story.

Overall, I would highly recommend you have the ENTIRE Finley Pike series on your bookshelf!

Just like the two previous books in this series, the storytelling is phenomenal as you follow the exploits and adventures of Finley Pike! If you have a middle school tweenager, this entire series is geared right for them. Suspense. Action. Surprise twists. And a memorable ending!
