Roy Underhill has been host of the popular PBS series "The Woodright's Shop" for twenty years. The author of five previous books, he works as a communications consultant and conducts workshops and seminars throughout the country. He lives in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Excellent, well written and often amusing book about speaking to audiences from one person to a TV audience. I think that Mr. Underhill's advice is meant primarily for delivering information people want to hear and for generally more light hearted up beat presentations but he provides excellent guidance to someone making a presentation and making a presentation happens whenever we speak or write to someone doesn't it?

Roy Underhill is always entertaining. The overall message is similar to most bookson public speaking, but draws on much more practical experience, of how to hold an audience's attention, and how to draw them into the presentation.
There are a lot of examples from Roy's days working at shaker village, or in parks and museums, how he was able to both entertain his own crowds, and what he learned being part of the audience himself.

I would recommend getting and reading and reading again.
